Shopping in Montreal

Hey guys!

I'm going to Montreal this summer, and I was wondering if you Montrealers or anyone else who's been there could give me some tips on where to shop. :)

Thanks in advance!

Brand names and local stuff, please! :)
I don't think we'll have time to go to warehouses because we'll only be there for a day or two :(

Re: Shopping in Montreal

oooo and your from vancouver??
well stuff here is pretty much the same price as vancouver.. lol
but there are a couple cool stores here that i like =)

there's Blue Marine & co. which is basically like Plush etc

and there's Pink & co
which just mainly sells hoodies sweatpants etc etc they do sell dress pants too
its kinda like TNA but the styles of the hoodies are different.
they have a website too ---->
which is pretty popular around here.

for higher brand there's Ogilvy - which is kinda like Holts
except they carry some designers that Holts don't
and they also have their own "Ogilvy" brand too. which is just like Holts lol.
the only thing that's different is that instead of each brand having their own "section"
its just filled with boutiques.. its kinda like a mall...
blah hard to explain =P but you should def check it out.

there's Inglot here too incase you wanna refill what you got
since the ones in vancouver are closing down.

and all of the above is conveniently located in DT Montreal on St Catherine's street
there is also 5 malls with underground passways connected with each other on that street

that's all that came to mind right now but will update more later ^^

Re: Shopping in Montreal

Yup, the parasuco store on St-Catherine street is huge and was newly renovated for a year or so!
There are many stores on St-Catherine street, and as xoxo.juicy mentioned, the downtown shopping area connects five shopping malls together from Promenades Cathedrale to Complexe Les Ailes (stores like Lacoste, m0851, Swarovski) to Center Eaton (stores like Blue Marine, Pink as mentioned and toxic which locates beneath Blue Marine) to Place Montreal Trust (La Maison Simons and Style Exchange, and Inglot as mentioned) and to Les Cours Mont-Royal (which has many high fashion stores like DKNY, Three Monkeys).

If you have time, you can also head to St-Denis street, there are many great boutiques and restaurants.
