i'm pretty sure that every so often someone calls you asking for someone, but you don't know who they're asking for so you politely tell them "you've got the wrong number" and they say "sorry". but the lady who called my house asking for someone totally spazzed at me . here's the convo:

lady: can i speak to sylvie please?
me: umm.. sorry i think you've got the wrong number.
lady:i called ____________ (it was number similar to mine, just off by a digit)
me: i go on to to tell her my number
lady: NEXT TIME, YOU SHOULD SAY "YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG NUMBER!!!"

wow,how rude ! all i just say is " you got the wrong number" then i hang up. sometimes they call after and say they got the wrong number again. hahah
but that's just stupid. maybe she didn't hear you clearly?

1st time:

person: can i please talk to ____
me: sorry, this person doesn't live here. you've got the wrong number
person: oops sorry.
me: it's okay

2nd time:

person: can i please talk to ____
me: sorry, this is the same wrong number again.

3rd time....4th time..:

person: can i please talk to ____
me: again? wrong number okay................

HAHA i've got many of those too! i know there's a lady with a number close to mine and i got a lot of people calling me asking for ______ (same person everytime) and sometimes, my friends got the wrong number and ends up calling HER instead. it's quite funny..

i'm pretty sure she heard me, because she was like "oh okay" then she read out the number to me.

haha,next time some person calls you,just say they got the wrong number and hang up.

LOL our phone number is only one digit different from this chinese restaurant. so we always get these phone calls from people asking about their food.
this was the last conversation we had from them before we changed our phone number:
woman: IS MY CHICKEN DONE YET?
me: uh..sorry, you've got the wrong number..
woman: -click-

hahahhaa omg... i've been getting these calls lately from a woman who speaks dutch or Irish.. actually the few times she's called, i happened to not pick up, so she leaves these loooooooooong voice messages.. i mean they're like 2 minutes long. I have no idea who she is but she keeps calling me.. it's just weird cuz I have a voicemail greeting right?? and just by listening to that i would think it's obvious i'm not the person she's looking for.. lol.. oh well..

you know what's bad? I don't know how this happened to me but somehow my cellphone number was posted on an apartment ad online on two websites. Pretty much I got like 20 calls in one day from all these people asking me about the bachelor suite and I had to tell them that it's the wrong # and eventually I just ignored all my calls. I spammed the apartment ad on craiglist so craiglist would block it so I don't get too many calls on it now but for the first couple of days it was utterly INSANE!! *sigh* =(

haha i've had phone calls like juicybrat where they call like 3-4 times, and then the last time they call they will say the number and it's my number... which my famiyl has had for over 21 years!

omg i had someone call me about an apartment before too. and they said it was the right number. soo weird.
