Aldo @ oakridge

This happened last week during their sidewalk sale.

I wanted these short ankle boots that were on sale (50% off! what a steal!) and I needed a size 8 - and of course, no sales lady around. When I finally got someone to get me a size, tried it on, looks fab, and I do my customary check for scratches (it was suede). And of course, there was this short but noticable scratch on it. So I take it back to the sales that helped me out and asked if she had another pair and showed her the scratch. And this is how it went:

sales: 'ya, but its display' (doesn't even LOOK at me and continues to stand there like i don't exist!!)
me: '... uh... can i see it'.
sales: 'ya, which feet' (still not looking at me!)
...
sales: (comes back with a shoe) 'this is the other one'
me: (omg, this shoe looks like its been WORN. the suede came off at the heel close to the ankle!!) 'oh no.. this ones scratched up too'
sales: well... that's all we have. (LOOKS AWAY AGAIN!)
me: is there anything you can do about the scratchs
sales: *ticks her tongue* no! it's already 50% off! we can't take anymore off!

WTF??? i was thinking maybe she can brush it, or call another store - not even thinking discount!! so i just chucked the shoes back into the box and walked out. I've never had such rude service before! and I just came back from winter vacation in hk, where i got shoes that were $12CAD and had 100x better service than these $50cad boots. BLAH! and i thought she should be fired, but after revisiting them today cuz my friend wanted to see these other boots, we realized that ALL THEIR SALES PEOPLE ARE LIKE THAT!!! RUDE, UNATTENTIVE, SNOTTY!! booo for aldo at oakridge.

MonMon (pat pat). Hope you feel better now. I can't believe you received such poor customer service there. Those poor salesgirls scrape by with only a mere minimum wage so why on earth they would be acting snotty is beyond me. Is it a prestigious job selling shoes and smelling feet all day? lol

As with all customer complaints posted on here at mallvibes, you should all file complaints with the store manager or head office. There just seems to be way too many complaints with nothing being done about it. Ranting won't do anything to prevent the situation from happening again to another person!

Re: Aldo @ oakridge

Scary...I hope Aldo won't get secret shopped if one of the salesperson there helps a customer like that.

I work at store another store in Oakridge & yeah I don't think I could treat a customer like that. The person should think about being in the customer's shoe...would she want a salesperson to treat her the same way?

Maybe the salesperson was having a bad day?

The last time I went to Aldo to buy a pair of shoes I didn't have any problems with any of the sales people there.
