There are tons of ways in meeting new people for dating. For example: online dating, speed dating, "it's just lunch", blind dates, personnels, etc...

Just wondering if you guys have ever tried any of them?
What do you think about people who do this?
Would you try it? Which one and why?

I'm scared to meet new people just for the point of dating. I feel like I need to know them before I date them. My current bf was my partner in physics class...became friend...and then bf. Past relationships I'd met at school/mutual friends. My sister has tried the online dating thing. It worked out for a little while.

Most of my friends find it easy to date people they meet at clubs, bars, and parties. It seems to work well for them.

Oops. I didn't answer your question. If I were single, I think speed dating would be fun to try, but like I said, I don't feel comfortable "dating" someone I don't know. Kudos to those who can! The online thing kinda scares me. There are way too many creepers out there haha

yeah i heard alot of people meet in like a bar or club...

for some reason i would think that they are doing the exact same thing to other girls in the bar/club too

haven't tried it, but i did recently meet someone new -- the stripper at my party! hahaha

YEAH!!! police officer. haha it was awesome... some of my friends didn't know and the stripper dressed up as a police officer acting on a "noise complaint". SO hilarious! hahaha

my las ex, we met off myspace, it worked for awhile... i was kind of playing around since i had a fake account. Since i always had random people messaging me with weird comments.

I had ONE blind date, he came off as a perv to me, and i was glad i had my friends call me to get me out of it. Like about a week ago, he wanted to know if i wanted a relationship or not...funny because always said that he's looking for a simple girl...he keeps thinking im a simple girl...but after i thought about it... I have some high expectations

In my bachelor days I was set up on one blind date. Yes, I've only had one blind date in my entire life thus far. After that, I vowed never to go on another. Let's just say I don't like to be surprised if the girl turns out to be less than appealing

I haven't tried any of the other forms of dating you mentioned (speed dating, online, etc). Not to gloat but I've never had any problems landing dates when I'm between girlfriends.

i've been on a blind date before. once though. i enjoyed it. but i wasn't attracted to my date..i jus saw him as a friend. we watched Finding Nemo in the theatres and played pool after.

i've meet friends of friends randomly and we'd go out for coffee lol...strangely the guys i meet have gfs lol. but obviously there's no chemistry. just a good connection and good conversation.

i've been on a totally weird out of the blue...i have no idea what to call it date!!! so i was young and in highschool at the time...i was waiting for my friends at the burrad bus stop for the fireworks and they were late as hell! i was getting so annoyed. i noticed a pretty cute guy around my age...waiting for something too....we started a friendly conversation...turns out we were both waiting for friends...so we decided to go out for dinner since we both were starving. so yeah. i went out to dinner with a stranger lol. but it was safe and all since we ate at a public restaurant but we parted ways after. yah. that was the most spontaneous thing i had ever done.
