MOMO sushi (It's a small sushi joint) a few yards down from the Cordova x Water St intersection. I loved that place! Cheap specials, really good food and service.

Re: Cheap Restaurants in Gastown

Oh, there's Brioche on Cordova x Cambie and the Guu Garlic above ground at Water St. x Cordova. Those were my favourite places. The Cambie (Cambie x Cordova) has a beer and burger special for $5 too!

I used to live there, hence the super fooding!

Re: Cheap Restaurants in Gastown

As mentioned, Annex and Brioche. There's also La Casita. I recommend you check out and do a neighbourhood search. There are restaurant reviews.

Of course, I think the standy on Gastown is The Old Spaghetti Factory. I worked there for two years haha... try a chicken penne with rosé (rose-say) sauce - I bake it with cheese too for staff meal but this kind of dries out the cream. You already get the sourdough bread but if you're up for an appy, I love the popcorn or pesto bruschetta (though I think they were in the stages of phasing it out when I left), I never got sick of them.
