Re: great recipes you have to try!

alfredo style pasta: fettucinni or any other type of pasta + campbell mushroom soup + 1 slice of cheese + bacon bits

look up sheperds pie as well..its really good!

and banana bread..it takes me like 30mins to make it & its healthy cuz i lower the sugar & oil to the minimum so its less fatning + not too dry/ tasteless
1. mix 1.25 Cups flour + 1tsp baking soda together
3. Then mix 2 eggs, 1/3 cup oil, .75 cup sugar, 2 bananas together
mix #1 & #2 together and pour into greased loaf pan and bake @ 350 degrees C for 1 hr..(:

edit: ooo and if you like chocolate chips..add a few in into step #3...its SO good...even if you add like 10 pieces, you can still taste it!

Re: great recipes you have to try!

Oh! This is great :)

Here's a stuffed mushroom dish I made last week. It came out really well I think.
Here's what you'll need:

Sausage (I prefer spicy Italian uncooked)
1 tablespoon butter
large onion (I used half brown onion and half red onion...it's more aromatic that way)
4 stalks celery (without is ok, too)
2 granny smith (green) apples (I also used a third, Fuji, for sweetness)
1 tablespoon sage (dried or fresh...I used dried)
1 teaspoon thyme (dried or fresh...I used dried)
6 cups cornbread croutons or stuffing
1 can chicken broth

Portabella mushrooms with stems spooned out

1. Preheat oven 375 degrees

2. Brown sausage and remove from pot
3. Add butter to pan to melt over medium heat
4. Add onions and celery to melted butter and cook til soft
5. Add apples and cook til soft
6. Add chopped up mushroom stems
7. Add herbs and stir
8. Return sausage to pot
9. Add croutons/stuffing mix and chicken broth

10. Pour entire mixture to oven-safe pan and back for about 20 minutes
11. Spoon mixture into mushrooms (You'll have excess stuffing)
12. Return to oven for another 5-10 minutes

Done

Re: great recipes you have to try!

I used 12 mushrooms, and I served 3 people 4 mushrooms each, but I still had an excess of stuffing, though, so it could've easily served 4 or more. It's supposed to be an appetizer so keep that in mind
