i\'m cuurently working downtown, and on days where i\'m lazy to fix me up a lunch to take, i usually do take out.

anyone have any ideas about healthy and yummy take out food downtown?
i\'m around pender @ burrard.

my list is:

Re:good and healthy take out downtown?

hey taremi!

there\'s a really really good sandwich/soup/salad place that i go to called Mangez Mangez.

It\'s on dunsmir and turlow, so it\'s a bit of a walk from where you work, but they seriously have the best tasting healthy sandwiches!!

now they are a little pricey but after you try their food you\'ll see why.. you get what you pay for!

i always go there to get my roast beef sandwiches!

(btw, it\'s close to where the TD building is).

Steamrollers - makes wraps/burritos - tasty. There\'s one on Robson and one between Pacific Centre and Sinclair Centre. Not sure the exact address.

There's a crepe cafe in Sinclair Centre. It's all organic and use buckwheat the for actual crepe. Pastels is in there too.
Waterfront centre has a health place named Nature's Fair that has sandwiches, salads, fruits, healthy snacks and everything is organic!

i have to tell you there's an AWESOME food court on the corner of alberni & thurlow underground where 7-11 & Toni & Guy are...there's so much to choose from.........the rice balls place is good - only $1.50 each! I always get food at the vietnamese place...so much food in the combos and there's also japanese, thai & just open pizza/itallian and mediterranean.......mmmm.......YUMMY & inexpensive place to eat!

For some reason, everytime I go there the place is empty and only a couple of the stores are opened.

Hmmm....i guess it depends on what time of day you go. I take lunch @ noon, i'm guessing its the same time as most of the students from the vcc upstairs, & those who work in the office towers nearby, so its's busier then. i've also gone around 1:30/2:00 and it's kinda empty, so it depends.
