hemming TRs

so i want to buy a pair of true religions but they are all too long for me, i would have to get them hemmed to a 30-31"L but im concerned about how they will look after since the stitching goes behind the leg

has anyone ever gotten them hemmed? do you think it would be ok?

Re: hemming TRs

I assume you are talking about the Joeys, where the stitching goes diagonally across the bottom of thefront and back of the leg?
On some joeys the leg stitching starts higher, or doesnt slant as much, so it would also look nice when hemmed. I suggest when trying them on, you fold the bottom of them in until they are your length and then decide if you like it that way. Or, if you are planning to buy them online, what i do is look at the inseam length and just eyeball it

Re: hemming TRs

BreezyB is right.. folding the jeans will help you see where the sitching will be and look like.

don't you just hate hemming your jeans? I have at least 4 pairs of brand new jeans that I can't wear because I have to hem them.

When I was younger and bought jr sizes... i would seriously have totake off like 15cm off of it!
