Re: Cute, cheap fun xmas gift ideas

- Christmas ornaments are always nice. And you can personalize them to each person.....one year I made "Christ-Mice" with a bead kit i bought from Lewiscraft.

- a mini scrapbook of some of your favorite pix throughout the year. my friend bought some nice scrapbook materials from the Dollar Giant.

- handmade beeswax candles, you can find different ideas online to "mould" the sheets into different shapes (instead of just the regular kind)

- cookies, i bought a snowman and snowflake shaped cookie cutters to make sugar cookies with frosting and candies

have fun!

Re: Cute, cheap fun xmas gift ideas

honestly, check winners. I once bought all my xmas gifts for everyone just by shopping at winners. I think i only spent like $150 on like 13 people or something. You buy bulk items and then split them for everyone and it makes it easier.

Last year for 2 gf's i bought a bunch of make-up for 1, and bath stuff for another, and then bought one of those "hat boxes" from winners for like $4 and gave it to them that way. So they not only have what's inside, but also the box to use later.

Re: Cute, cheap fun xmas gift ideas

haha my friends and i actually did that last year. I made some some sugar cookies and i used icing/sprinkles! for each huge cookie, i did a message and/or a letter so when u open all of them it spells something.

i also made picture frames. they are really easy to make, i just buy a blank one for like two bucks and buy those stickers/foam letters. i also made copies of group pictures to put in.

a friend of mine gave us home made scarves. you can either use these fabric that you don't even need to sew (can't remember what kind) and you can trim the ends! or as my friend, she knitted them.

if you have a bit of time, make them a mini scrapbook! necklaces and braclets arn't hard to make also. i'm planing to make sentimental cards for all my friends this year.

Great ideas Vy! I really like sentimental gifts too. Gifts that are made with effort and love I hold close to my heart. Every Xmas my neighbors always bake us these deeelicious shortbread cookies with colorful sprinkles and wrap them up in beautiful tissue paper in a festive Xmas cookie tin can! Since I can't cook I always look forward to Xmas when I can munch on the cookies!

Re: Cute, cheap fun xmas gift ideas

the last few years what i've been doing is making lots of jewlarry and earrring stands, and getting tables at craft fairs. last year i only did one craft fair but i made a 160$ profit. so i bought all my christmas presents with that.

I forgot to mention that. so those of you who are crafty thats a good thing for you to do too. I gave away some of my earrings and necklaces as gifts as well

so i'll probably end up doing that again this year too...

but i'm always looking for new ideas

i also found a site that gives you a huge list of dry recipes, and you put all the dry ingreidents in a fancy jar and then you make a cute tag for the jar that says what wet ingridents to add and how long to cook it for...theres all sorts of cookie mixes, brownies, drinks, dips lots of stuff! and i really like that idea, i'll proabbly do that too!

heres the site!
