MAC Makeovers?

My friend and I have a dance performance on Thursday and we need to have stage makeup on, and we're wondering if we should just get it done at MAC or some other counter at The Bay probably? Because they always ask if people want a free makeover.. (well Benefit does!) Does anyone know if they'd do it at MAC? or would we have to pay for it...

Re: MAC Makeovers?

I thought that the deal was, they will do your make-over for free if you buy the products that they use during the make-over.

Re: MAC Makeovers?

yeah, you have to purchase something and asked them for a free makeover. you can purchase anything, doesn't have to be a product that they use during the make over.

Re: MAC Makeovers?

makeup application at MAC is $50 from the last time i checked and you get a free complimentary mascara. the MAC counters at the bay are $40 where you have to buy $40 worth of MAC products.

some salons also offer makeup artistry. it might be a better idea to go there if you are on a budget.

i think superstore or shoppers offer free ones though.

Re: MAC Makeovers?

My mum and I went to Estee Lauder once to look at their make-up. Because we didnt really know what fit well for us, we asked for makeovers and they were happy to give them to us without charge! We didnt end up buying anything and they were fine with it too!

Yeah, that happened to my friends and I at the Clinique counter in The Bay. The woman was really nice about it :)
