Re: shrinking rock&republics

My friend told me that no matter what you do to R&R's, they always tend to stretch back to what they were before so unless you get them taken in professionally, nothing will really work. If you do get them taken in, make sure you go to someone you trust or else your jeans can get ruined!

Re: shrinking rock&republics

After they're done washing in the washing machine I recommend u stick them in the dryer on HIGH so that it shrinks. But this might shrink all around the leg and waist area Safest bet's to bring them to a seamstress!

i haven't tried it myself but i read about it on authenticforum and people use that method to try and shrink their jeans. i don't see how it would damage it.

Re: shrinking rock&republics

If you only want it to shrink a bit, maybe you can wash them and then put them in the dryer for like 20 minutes at a time and check it to see how much it's shrunk and then hang dry for the rest of the time. Washing in hot water will shrink the jeans as well, but it might cause fading in the colour =(

Re: shrinking rock&republics

Those methods will shrink your jeans, but they will eventually shrink back so you will have to keep on doing it.

Re: shrinking rock&republics

Although it's pretty hard to shrink R&R's, you can actually boil them for about 10-15 minutes in a pot. It'll usually shrink about half a size. Then throw them in a dryer @ high heat.
