Question Online shoppings

Hi!

I wonder if many of you shop online?
How often do you shop online?
Which online stores do you prefer and why?
What are your favorite online purchases?
If you don't shop online, please explain the reason.

Thanks.

Re: Online shoppings

I'm not a big fan of online shopping because i always have to try on the clothes to see if actually looks good on me. I could look soo nice in pictures, but once i try it on it looks totally different.
and another downside of online shopping is paying the shipping fees and duties..

Re: Online shoppings

i mostly shop at future shop, best buy, forever 21, american eagle when i get too lazy to go to the store =] ...future shop has a 'verified by visa' thing, so its a little safer to shop there, but my credit card doesnt exactly have a high limit, so its not so bad. there is no way around taxes and duties, but some stores have free shipping promotions and you can always pick up ur order in store. plus if you dont feel safe using a credit card, u can use one of those prepaid credit card things (i think vancity has one)
i usually only buy from stores that i already know what size/fit is good for me

Re: Online shoppings

Shopping online is so convenient and easy. Some places offer free shipping which is awesome because you're basically paying the same price as you would pay in the store (unless it's coming from out of Canada, in which case you would have to pay for duties, etc.). There are also some online-only deals at times.

I prefer using sites that accept PayPal since I don't like giving our my credit card information directly. In addition, if you pay with credit card through PayPal and don't receive an item (or the item is different than described, you can easily get a refund through your credit card company.

Re: Online shoppings

I shop online more than I go to the mall/downtown just because it's more convenient. I buy most of my tops online and 95% of my jeans.

Here's another thread for reference:

Re: Online shoppings

I generally like to buy clothing in person, but if it's from a brand/store I'm familiar with the sizing I'll purchase online.
I love browsing for bags, wallets and accesories online!

Re: Online shoppings

I've only done online shopping a few times. The only reason I do it is if there is a really good online sale so it becomes cheaper (even after the taxes and duties). I've used the puma.com and shopadidas.ca websites. The puma store often has coupons and often doesn't charge duties (I have no idea why.. maybe the puma products I get are made in usa?). The adidas store doesn't charge duties (since it's shipped from canada) and it often has free shipping w/ a minimum purchase. Basically I hate paying duties or large shipping costs... otherwise I love shopping online. I only buy tops, shoes, bags and accessories online. I need to try on pants in person.

same with me
buying clothes online is super hard, unless i've tried the exact same pair of pants or shirt on in the store and then buy it online.... that way, i know how it fits =)

Re: Online shoppings

I buy books from Chapters and Amazon! Books from Chapters online are often cheaper than in-store!
