    Re: Canucks News!

Although, I cried on the way home, I needed to realize it's not the end.
There is always next year, we've proved that we can do anything.
When we strive, and play until every minute, second, each one counts in time.

Don't worry, we're not the only ones who have been going through this.
When I look at it, we've busted our asses off very far
We deserved everything to be in the position we were in to and from the playoffs
Only 1 team will win the cup and many will lose, there will be only 1 winning team.
We did astounding and that's all we can do. Be proud of our boys!
We're the best Canadian team so far for the 2009 playoff season.

Oh and my friend posted this on their NHL forum, it was pretty written and understood:

This is just motivational and inspiring. It included Al Pacino. Global even showed it on the news at 5:

I still love the Canucks, with all of my hockey soul!! <3

    Re: Canucks News!

The Canucks were definately missing something.... I remember, if only Trevor Linden wasn't forced into retirement, he was definately clutch in game 7's.

First the Giants, then the Battalions, now the Canucks...... there's always next years (though we say that every year)....
In the meantime, go Manitoba Moose go! Grabner, Schneider, Krog, Rahimi, Jaffray, Sanford, and maybe even Hodgson! GO MOOSE!

at least we made history this time around, right? with the 4-0 sweep? that's definitely a positive thing to take from this.

    Re: Canucks News!

That was one of the worst games I have ever seen. I'm so angry with the fact that so many people are bashing Luongo. :/

Ugh. I just sat there after the game ended cuz I didn't want to believe it. :(

I understand why people are mad at Luuie but without him, we wouldn't be doing so well.
He's an amazing goalie, one of the best in the world.

    Re: Canucks News!

yeah even though luongo didnt play his best that game, i cant blame him, i blame more the defense. but yeah like c4dm said, without luongo we might notve even made it to the second round, let alone game 7 of the second round, if you think back to how low scoring the games against st louis were, so yeah, stop bashing luongo, im sure he feels shitty enough already =( just imagine having the all the weight of losing on your shoulders, and thinking about all the disapointed fans, when you can blame anyone for the loss... like maybe mitchell in game 5/6? when he didnt clear the puck 2 minutes left and havlat scored, or in game 7 where the goal came from edler's skate, im not saying blame everyone else, just dont blame luongo, i sure feel for the guy

    Re: Canucks News!

It's really easy to blame a person for a loss especially in this case because it almost felt like Luongo gave up but really, I don't think we can blame anyone. Momentum in any sport, especially team sports, is really quick and totally infectious and if one player is out of it then it's really easy for it to spread to other players. I'm pretty bummed out about the game BUT there's always next year! I think in this series we just got in over our heads...we were so used to winning and playing that way to win, but then we had to deal with the Hawks whose playing style is quite different from the Blues (and we realized a little too late...and by then, we were already kind of down about it all).

Oh well. Next year, next year!

I just watched the clip of Luongo's post-game comments. He looked so down ... he couldn't even get through answering questions for the media. I wanted to give him a hug!
