For question 1, can't you plug in the 10 for t?
Is t being measured in mins or sec?

yea thats what i got i ended up with 80000gallons/min for the first part and -10000gallons /min for the 2nd part:S

Q'(t)= 400(30-t)(1) = 12000-400t
plug in t=10
12000-400(10) = 12000-4000 = 8000/s = rate of change

that's what i think i was never good at math though :/
