perfume: do the bottles matter?

I want to know if when you purchase perfume, do you mainly purchase it for the bottle or the actual 'perfume'?


Most of the time, I purchase the perfume mainly for the cute packaging, or bottle. If a fabulous scent is in a crappy bottle, most likely I wouldn't buy it.

I base it on the cute factor of the bottle, cause that's what that attracts me to the bottle first, then I smell it then buy it.


But if I'm having a collection of let's say the harajuku dolls...then I'd get them all regardless of scent LOL.

but most of the time, the perfumes I've encountered with pretty bottles have nice scents too!

omg, i love the harajuku dolls. even though the amount of perfume to me seems ridiculous, the dolls are just AHHH ,

i have Love and Music and i'm planning to get 'G' and baby soon=) (imo angel is sorta ugly, and baby smells like baby powder o_o)

Course it matters!
I collect them mostly for it's appearance!
And then second for it's scent.

What's the point of having an ugly bottle? ruins the whole product for me.

I only buy the ones that look pretty. lol and then don't end up using them unless they smell good too (like YSL baby doll one)

yea, packaging is very important.

I even like shops with pretty bags:D
