Do you have a good relationship with your parents? Are you the type of child to tell your parents everything, or do you tell them next to nothing?

i have a great relationship with my mom. we talk about everything, and she's so label conscious so i get a lot of accessories from her, wahaha. plus we have the same size feet! so i borrow a lot of shoes from her too

my dad's always way since i was little. he travels a lot for the business. one year, we counted how many times he ate at home and he only ate at home 31 times in the whole year! he's very protective though. when me and my boyfriend started dating he had the driver follow us around in a separate car just to make sure we didn't do anything *cough* *cough*... we were like 15 and 17 at that time!

I don't have that great of a relationship with my mom.
She grew up in Canton, China..and she has different views.
She can't speak english, and i can barely speak cantonese..so it's hard to communicate with her sometimes. I feel as if she doesn't understand most of the things i try to tell her. When i tell her how much things mean to me, she'll just think it's childish.

i'm okay with my parents. they were born in canada as well so they have the same views as i do. i occasionally fight with them but it's not such a big deal...

when my friends meet my parents they really like them...
as long as i'm well my parents are happy...

I have a closer relationship with my dad than my mom. Ever since I was little I've had a strong bond with him (I always followed him around). Now that I'm older, our relationship is has gotten better. We go to the movies together every now and then, shop, eat out and just talk for hours. Our relationship grew stronger during my parents divorce. It was the first time we cried together. I'm a little closer to my mom now than I use to be but not as close as I'd like. But my dad and I talk a lot about stuff, except for sex. Because my mom is in the East coast, she always buys me stuff (designer stuff I like) because we can't see each other all the time. Sometimes I think it's cuz she's trying to make up for all the years we could have become close but didn't.

I'm not that close with my parents. I'm closer with my mom but I can't tell her about anything big in my life, we mostly chat and gossip about celebrities and stuff. Her tastes are too different from mine so we don't really shop together, and she still has a lot of Asian views when it comes to dating, so I don't bother telling her anything related to boyfriends.

I have a great relationship with my parents, and I'm thankful for that. I"m closer to my mom than my dad, I tell my mom pretty much everything. She has a fantastic sense of humour and she makes me laugh a lot. But when she gets mad, watch out.

I don't have a close relationship with my parents/family at all. We get along SOMEtimes and I love them and all but we don't talk about things and I barely see them.

It's sad because I was watching home videos a couple days ago and we use to be sooo close but I got so corrupted and rebelled so much after I turned 10-ish. I think I ruined the family. LOL. It's okay though, after I finished school and got a FT job, our relationship has gotten a little better and I try to take them out for a nice, scrumptious dinner at least once a month.

I never had a chance to get to know my mom, she left me to my grandparents when i was 1, so she could go abroad to work and support us, she visted every 4 to 5 years to see me but only stay for a month or less. At 14years old she took me and bring me here so i could have a better education but since then we never get along, she is like a stranger to me, i know she work hard for me but I cant help it we just dont get along. I never tll her anything, I was never comfortable telling her anything, maybe it makes me a bad person.

Awww no it doesn't make you a bad person at all. Even though she's your mom it doesn't mean you'll see eye to eye on everything. It is what it is. No worries.
