help with my computer sound
hey! i've had my computer for awhile now and before it was really slow so i reformated it (this was long time ago) and ever since i did it i dont have sound anymore, even if i plug in my speakers and yes they have batteries and its on for sure, its my computer, i thought i lost my soundcard but no im pretty sure its still there i just dont know how i can get my computer sound back, i dont want to pay to get it fixed because i know i have sound i just dont know what happened to it, can anyone help?

Okay, so I had a problem with this before. I'm not sure if it'll work with you, but it can't hurt.
So, go into your control panel, then go into Administrative Tools. Then open Computer Management and in that window, look on the sidebar and click on Device Manager. In the right side of the window a list of devices should show up. Scroll down to the 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers' and expand that. Check to see if any of the devices have a yellow exclamation point beside them and if so, right click >> disable.

I'm not sure if that works. If it doesn't, then just re-enable the device and I'll try to figure out something from there :)

thanks for the help, but when i oped it there were no exclamation marks and everything was fine, i dont know why theres no sound, im so bummed, i want sound! thanks for trying to figure this out, hope you find out more about it!

I guess you weren't having the same problem as me. Does an error comes up when you try to play your music?
