I have one and I've only ever seen girls wearing that.

To be honest, swing packs should be left for girls only.

Unless he has the guts to face homosexual comments, then go for it?

    Swingpacks are for females.
If you click on the Coach site and go to MEN...there's no swingpack =/

me as a guy wouldnt wear it. get him a messenger bag instead. with that said, im not really into messenger bags anymore. i like a nice slimmer backpack

It's supposed to be for women, but I've seen some guys with it as well. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with a guy using one, but then again I'm not a homophobe who walks around calling guys fags for doing something unmacho. I'm sure he would get a few gay slurs hurled at him by the wrong people if he used a swingpack. But there are a lot of metro guys around who will use it anyways.

    It's for women.
Some things are meant for women, some are meant for men.... this swingpack is basically a purse.

A simple rule of thumb... if you can't put a 15" laptop in it, it's for women, lol.

Swingpacks in my opinion are for women. I have seen men wear them but they were gay, so it didn't matter what gender the swingpack was intended for. If your brother wants one then get him one? OR you could opt out and get him a Diesel one or a G-STAR RAW one. Those are more masculine.

In my opinion, I don't dig those "masculine" swingpacks either. What do guys need to carry anyways?
Their chap stick? A mirror? Emergency essentials like a pad or tampon?

It's the 21st century, there are no absolutes on anything, especially in the face of androgynous trends. Take away the bias and make your judgement based on the body type, dress style and personal habits of the person instead.

With that being said, the Khaki/Brown colour is not the best choice. Black/Black would potentially work, but it's a rarity in outlets.

this thread is a bit dated but... a guy can use a coach swingpack without too much hassle as long as the pattern and colors aren't girly. black or brown leather is fine. the classic coach look might be ok. swing packs can be unisex. i wouldnt say they're nearly as much of a purse as say a top handle or satchel or something. the biggest contributor to making a bag look girly is the handles or straps in comparison to the size. since the swingpacks have a long strap and are crossbody, guys can get away with wearing them. any guy who insults another for wearing one would likely insult him for wearing a huge messenger bag too so whats it matter.
