My iPhone has been stolen!! :( What do you recommend that I do?

I've had the iPhone for about a year now (iPhone 4, black) and it had just been stolen today.
Either the sim card is out or the phone is just off, there is no way of recovering my phone. I have a bunch of stuff on it, like my emails and photos.

I already revoked access of Facebook, Twitter and e-mail and all that jazz.

Things like this have never happened to me before so I have no idea on what to do and how to react. Any tips?

Call your provider and report your phone as lost.

I'm not sure if this is possible but I know someone who knew someone who bought a new stolen iphone 5 and ipad and right after they plugged it into wifi police came into their house...

my friend's sister had her iphone stolen at mcdonalds. they reported it as lost to the police. long story short, in the end, the police knocked on my friends sister door and returned the iphone.

they can track it. the problem is the OP's phone is off so they cant track it via her accounts internet connection. maybe they can do something with the serial number.

@OP: call apple store and see if they have any tracking thing based on the SN

Yes, call your provider and report the phone stolen (I think you can also do this online). Unfortunately, there is no way to really get a replacement phone from your provide; you'll have to upgrade/buy a new one. Unless you get lucky and the police return it or something.

Did you download the app 'Find iPhone'? Your phone is off, but once the phone is turned on and connected to wifi, you are able to track it.
Mommeh, azianremixx and vietdollyful like this.

Use iCloud to track it and wipe it clean so the jerks can't steal your info. When the phone connects to Internet you can track it.

I second this! My friend thought she lost her phone at the duty free and she called her brother to track it using the app and it was actually in the car LOL FUNNY!

    LOL!

I have never used iCloud before, so I don't think that's an option. :(

Sadly, I didn't download the app. For my next phone, I probably will. It's a good idea.
