Okay, so I wanted something to cover my blemishes that's quick and easy. Before I used this, I was using the MAC Pro Longwear foundation to conceal my blemishes (I bought it because of Artona.. I think it was $40). I didn't mind the foundation except that if I wasn't careful with it, I would look ORANGE!! (It dried really fast too) What type of foundation does that -___-.

Anyways, I read some reviews online and a lot of people mentioned that BB creams don't actually "lighten" your complexion but it actually lightens your blemishes!! ==) So after browsing around a bit, I decided to get Skin79's Hot Pink BB Cream.

I have an area on my cheek where I have a lot of blemishes clumped together. It's lightened a lot in the past few months but I noticed that it lightened even faster after using BB Cream. I'm not totally sure if my Egyptian Magic is helping... but, I'm totally in love with this! Oh, and I haven't gotten any more major breakouts; only a few pimples here and there.

Ohhhh, and people complain about a grey cast with BB Creams but I find that it just makes me look pale for like an hour LOL. After it oxidizes, it's fine :D For reference, I'm a MAC NC25. Oh, I wouldn't say it stops you from being oily but it definitely controls it to an extent.

Pricing: 3/5 ($30.00 depending were you get it)
Packaging: 4.5/5 (Hygienic. I like the pump. It's hot pink. hehe)
    Product: 4.5/5

Would I buy this again? Yes

^ theres also the gold one thats for dry skin and the hot pink is suppose to be for combination oily skin. i wanted to try this for so long but $30.. is just too much >.<

If you really want it, I think you should go for it because 40g is a lot of product. I think I'd last me a couple of months. And my MAC foundation was $40 (I think) for only 30mL of product :(

You can get it on ebay for around $15 and the sellers usually add in a sample of another bb cream too =]

Right now, I use Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in #21...
I'm thinking about trying other BB creams when I'm done with this one.
Does anyone know how the Missha Perfect Cover compares to the Skin 79 Hot Pink?

I have the gold version because i have dry skin and i loveee it!

Before, if I used foundation my skin gets really flaky and ugly even if I use moisturizer before hand :/
I find the skin79 gold one so much better and as 1xsupaswt said, the grey cast disappears really quickly for me and after that my skin looks perfect :3

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream No. 21
    Consistency: light to medium
    Shade: NW15 and leans grey
Benefits: SPF 42 pa+++, moisturizing, softens skin texture
Oil-control: Low. Fine for dry skin, oily girls will need to blot.
Bottom line: Nice overall skin texture and moisture improvement.

Skin79 Super Plus Triple Functions BB Cream (hot pink)
    Consistency: medium to full
Shade: oxidizes to NC25-30, greyer but oxidizes to match my skin
Benefits: SPF 25 pa++, whitening (contains arbutin), anti-wrinkle
Oil-control: Medium. I had to powder in summer, in winter I can just wear this alone.
Bottom line: One of my favorites. Better coverage than other bb creams and improves skin texture.

I got this off of frmheadtotoe's blog :p

do they sell it at crystal mall? ...
  9. moomingstarz (1) Full Member New Trader

They sell it at Magic Queen in Crystal Mall. It's $35 there. I bought mine at this shop that sells a lot of Shiseido products like a few stores away from for $30. The cube shop also has it but I don't know if it's real or not there :S. You could always ask to see the packaging and compare the authenticity label: Please login or register to view links

ooh, what shade do you wear in this since i'm a nc25 too :).
  11. xoxoxx Full Member

^ nvm, just read the blog and there's no shade for it. thanks for the review, i want it now :p.

it oxidezes to your shade right?.. im quite pale .. i use tarte pressed powder in 02 which is fair and the lightest shade they have, ...
  13. moomingstarz (1) Full Member New Trader

Yes, it oxidizes but I'm not sure if it'll oxidize lighter. I'm sure you can ask for a sample of it :S. Or try setting it with a light powder so when it does oxidize, it oxidizes lighter :|

I don't think that when foundations or BB Creams oxidize they turn LIGHTER despite using a lighter powder unless it's a powder foundation.

For really pale skin girls try another brand like BRTC or Dr.Jart which are both lighter than even Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. I've personally never tried Skin79 HOT PINK one because someone did a oil test and found it had.. ALOT of oil compared to Missha Perfect Cover & Dr. Jart. Really scared me... so I avoided purchasing it.

The Skin79 Hot Pink BB cream is more "greyer" than the Dr. Jart one. The Dr. Jart BB cream is actually for sensitive/dry skin and it's more pink compared to Hot Pink. My friend bought this and it didn't help her acne at all but it sort of broke her out. Although the Hot Pink BB cream may have a lot of oil, I have never had any breakouts from it; quite pleased ^__^. I can't say anything about the BRTC one because I've never tried it/don't have friends who has tried it :/

I use the same one. I bought mine when I went to HK last summer and it is a lot cheaper there. If you ever have a friend going back to HK, you should tell them to get it for you because it found in the drugstores and beauty stores... and sometimes on sale.
I don't use mine everyday but I don't remember that I am wearing BB cream after a few hours because it feels pretty natural. However, the shade is slightly lighter than my face.

how much more cheaper is it in Asia?
  18. smellysoap New Member

i have both skin79 and missha and i really like the missha better cause it gives me more coverage!

To me, skin79 is just a tinted moisturizer really, and I don't think it really compares.

I'm not sure how I feel about the longevity in both products in general however. When I use my make up remover i I don't see the BB cream, only my bronzer which I find odd.

i got the skin 79 hot pink maybe a month or so ago? i LOVE it to bits, its been keeping my skin pretty good, no break outs and it actually keeps me pretty matte, dont know if its the bb cream or the rice powder that i use to set it with but i like it! i also like the spf 25 that it has because of the summer!
