Saying Sorry or Leaving It Buried?

Recently, I've been thinking of people I've hurt in the past by things I said or done. I feel bad about what I said or done, regardless if it was on purpose or not. An example, would be me telling a person to tell his sister to stop talking weird without realizing that was how his sister actually spoke. My guess is that he probably never said anything to his sister so her feelings are safe, but I must have hurt the guy or offended him somehow. Someone else was a girl that the TA asked to lead the class to do something and I gave her a really hard time because I didn't want to participate in the activity.

What should I do when I see them again? Say sorry or leave it buried?

I guess it depends how significant that person is to you. If they're important then apologize, and if they're not then just leave it behind

I don't think you need to say sorry for stuff like that. I do think it's good that you recognize that the things you did were "bad". I'm really bad at apologizing and I hate saying sorry, but if it's something/someone significant then I would do it.

For example, I think I mentioned on another thread that a close friend and I stopped talking after a fight. Even though I honestly don't think I was wrong, I met up with her and made ammends. If I hadn't done that, it would've cost me an 11-year friendship.

word on all of the things said above. to add on, if a certain situation is in your head for awhile and you still remember, chances are, you really do feel bad and should apologize
