Why do people treat other poorly???

To many people say Canada sucks USA is way better. Were all the same people soooo suck it up. we all live on earth we all drink the same water. We are the same no matter what people say. So what if someone has black skin or so what if there family cant afford to go to the movies. Does that mean there gonna end up on the street?

Who says this? Americans hide behind a Canadian flag when they travel, cause the whole world says the USA sucks. I was in Beijing, and on a rickshaw tour, a local resident yells out to me "USA?" I said "No, Canada" The man began waving and giving me a thumbs up. Never hear anyone but Americans say that the US is better. In most polls, we have the most livable city to be in...so where, I ask, is the basis for your rant? *scratches head*

Yeah I agree, I'm a little confused either. But as for the first part Canada vs. the US, it's culture and ethnocentrism. Certain people are just ethnocentric, the US being very much so hence they have a very bad reputation abroad when *a majority* of American tourists are yelling at people in foreign countries to speak English (seen this in the Philippines *shake head*) and refuse to receive change in the local currency. And people are also classist and racist. Why? Some just are scared of people that are outside of what they're comfortable with and refuse to adapt and accept.

$1800 per month for a one bedroom shack is not livable

It wasn't based on housing costs. There are lots of places in the surrounding area that don't cost that. Living in Downtown Vancouver is not a right.
