some places do take canadian cash I.E. Target at bellingham..
but it's a horrible rate... soo i would just go get your money exchanged here before you go.
and i know most of the time there is a service fee for visa/mastercard purchases... u can always call your credit card company and ask.

Re: Do they accpet candian cash and debit card at outlet?

last month when the dollar was aroundf $1.06 target was giving 97 cents so for $40 Canadian you would get $38 US - it should have been a lot more

definately ripping people off

some bank cards do work in the states like TD - check with your bank - some Canadian banks made a deal a few years ago - its quite a few of them - m,y friend has TD and uses debit when shopping down there

I have CIBC and can't use it - but i haven;t checked lately

but some bank cards can be used - check with your bank

if you want the best exchange rate go to the casino just north of bellingham - the give the best rate and no fees

My friend used her Royal Bank Debit card before... but it was like a $3-5 service charge per transaction ... so check w. your bank before using it!
